The Patriots wasted little time to record their first win in the post-season, as they beat the Tiospa Zina Wambdi in three straight sets.

In the first set, it took the Patriots a little time to get the rust off as their were several unforced errors by the Patriots. The first set went to the Patriots by a score of 25-14.

Set two was a complete opposite as the Patriots used some aggressive serving and powerful hits to roll to the set two victory by a score of 25-1.

Set three was quick also, as the Patriots beat the Wambdi 25-9.

Leading the way for the Patriots was Katelyn Schroeder with 12 kills on the night. Ella Johnson and Cora Hofer each added 5 kills.

Lila Johnson recorded 16 assists on the night and Gracyn Bixler recorded 12 assists.

The Patriots recorded 17 aces on the night. Lila Johnson led the way with 7 aces and Isabel Gilbert had a big run and recorded 6 aces.

Schroder would record 12 digs in the contest with a host of other players having a handful.

The Patriots improve to 29-2 and will take on the Northwestern Wildcats in the next round of the Region 1B tournament. Match time is set for 6:00 p.m in Tulare. The winner will advance on to the SoDak 16 contest, which will take place on Tuesday.

Rebecca Huizenga and Cora Hofer each recorded a block assist, with Hofer having the one lone solo block.
