The Patriots went a perfect 7-0 in the 281 Conference and pushed their record to 28-2, after a convincing 3-0 sweep of the Wessington Springs Spartans on Tuesday night.
The Patriots used the free balls from the Spartans to set up their potent offense. The Patriots racked up 42 kills in the contest.
Leading the way for the Patriots was Katelyn Schroeder with 16 kills, followed by Rebecca Huizenga with ten kills. Cora Hofer and Ella Johnson would had six and five kills each.
The team also recorded nine aces on the night. Lila Johnson would record six of the aces.
The two setters had some great set ups through out the night, led by Lila's 28 assists and Gracyn Bixler's nine.
Defensively, the Patriots had some great blocks up front and great digs in the back row. Cambree Hoekman led the team with 19 digs. Isabel Gilbert and Schroeder each recorded 9 digs. Gilbert would lead the way with three assist blocks and one solo block.
The JV and Jr. High teams would both drop their matches earlier in the night.
The Patriots will have a little time off as they get set for the Region 1B Tournament. They will be back in action on Tuesday, November 5 as they will play either Tiospa Zina or Waubay-Summit. The Patriots will have home court advantage through out the Region Tournament. Game time for next Tuesday is set for 6:00 p.m. in Tulare. The ladies would love to see a large crowd through out the post-season!
