The Patriots made quick work of the Castlewood Warriors as they picked picked up another win. The Patriots swept the Warriors in three straight sets, 25-11, 25-17, and 25-12.
Fueled by some aggressive hitting and serving, the Patriots did not look back after they built a lead in all three sets.
Leading the way for the Patriots was Katelyn Schroeder with 20 kills. Rebecca Huizenga added 6 kills. A host of other players each had 4 kills. Lila Johnson tallied 18 assists and Gracyn BIxler followed right behind with 14.
The Patriots recorded 11 aces on the night, while only missing 2 serves. Lila Johnson was perfect at the line with 5 aces. Ella Johnson was also perfect and recorded 3 aces. Bixler and Cambree Hoekman rounded out the aces with 2 and 1 respectively.
Hoekman had a great game in the back row with 17 digs. Schroeder also added in 9 and Bixler 8. Thr front line was also busy slowing down the Castlewood attack with many touches that do not show up in the stats. Cora Hofer, Isabel Gilbert, Huizenga, and Lila each would record a block assist.
The JV game dropped a close 2-0 (25-23, 25-22) decision earlier in the night.
The Patriots improve to 24-2 and will finally be back home Thursday night as they host the Ipswich Tigers in Tulare. Games begin at 5:15 p.m. with the Jr. High, followed by JV and Varsity. We hope to see a nice crowd in Tulare as there are only two home games left this season to watch the Patriots!
